Directing

Eschewing the formalities of theatre realism allowed Massey to amplify the humour of the characters. Night Writes

An unashamedly joyous celebration of the life of William Shakespeare. Arts Hub

Already very funny on opening night, this production can only get even funnier. Stage Whispers

Tom’s directorial debut was with Noises Off!, and following that success he has made something of a speciality of directing comedy and farce – though he has also directed drama to great effect. His directorial work is always fast paced and exciting, with an underlying focus on playing it for real: Tom believes that the more ridiculous the given situation of the play the more truthful the actors must be in their work to gain the greatest laughs or tears. He hates pauses for set changes and blackouts with a passion!
