| "The stories we tell matter. They teach us to see and how to be. They help us flourish. Except when they don't. Some stories whisper hope yet deliver despair, speak joy but yield misery, promise paradise and bar the gates. These are the stories told in Hell. Our brilliant writers delve into the darkness to find, that though the devil may have two horns, he's got more than a single tale!" |

The neighbours are colourful, the food is divine, but as she tucks into her tagliatelle, she finds herself at the table with the ghosts of a barbarous past. Set in southern Italy, The Poor Kitchen is funny and deeply moving; a fascinating exploration of the personal, the political and the pasta!" |

| "'What did you do?' Was Amanda born this way or has circumstance made her what she is? What is she and, where is she? A new play from this multi award winning writer tells of our disconnection from each other, the ease with which we distance ourselves from others and much more. It does it with this writer's customary wit and directness and is so sharp it may cut." |

| "As in all great romances, love never dies in Lorca's classic tale of desire, betrayal and revenge centred on an unforgiving mother. After the loss of her husband and older son in a long and bitter feud with the Felix family, it is too much when her new daughter-in-law has confused feelings for one of its members. Only tragedy can result." |

| Genesian Theatre 12th May - 23rd Jun 2007 |
|
| "William Nicholson's Shadowlands is a beautiful, moving play about the British author C.S. Lewis and his relationship with American poet Joy Davidman. It traces their friendship as it develops: first as written correspondence, through the first awkward meeting for afternoon tea, to a marriage of convenience which finally grows into a deep, passionate love affair. Balanced with the romantic scenes, this play has witty repartee between Lewis' friends who are Oxford dons and shows the comical, yet sincere relationship between Lewis and his brother Warnie." |
